For me, prayer is a surge of the heart; it is a simple look turned toward heaven, it is a cry of recognition and of love, embracing both trial and joy.
- Saint Thérèse of Lisieux -
Prayer is a such a vital part of our lives as Christians. It is the opportunity we have to enter into the mystery of God while also building up a vital and personal relationship with Him. At Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, we try our best to take advantage of this great opportunity in a number of different ways. Through our Sacraments, our daily and weekend liturgies, prayer-centered parish events, and multiple prayer groups, we keep ourselves open to how the Spirit of God might be speaking to us and how we might best build up and nourish our relationship with Him.
