Outdoor Gardening Ministry

    The story of our faith began in a garden. The Outdoor Gardening Ministry of Our Lady of Mt Carmel church is devoted to the task of planting and caring for the gardens that are on the grounds of the church. Our seasonal work includes planting annuals, watering, weeding and general maintenance. The gardens give testimony to the beauty of God’s creation.

    Everyone is welcome to join the group that meets at least twice a week after the 8:30 mass weather permitting.

    The patron saint of gardening and plants is St Fiacre of Breuil.  He was known for his holiness, love of plants and skills in healing the sick

    We meet at the back entrance of the church and bring our own tools. We prefer to work with 2 or 3 persons for health and safety reasons.
