In April and May of 2018, the parish nurse group performed a parish “Community Needs Assessment” survey. 258 parishioners responded and identified High Blood Pressure
as the number one health concern and High Cholesterol as the number 2 concern. The top three topics of interest include Exercise Diet/ Improving Nutrition, Healthy Aging, and Stress Relief. Weekday evenings were recognized as the most convenient time for our parishioners to attend educational programs.
OLMC Parish Nurses would like to thank the parishioners that participated in the Blood Pressure Blitz. We sincerely enjoyed meeting and getting to know you. 75 parishioners participated! Watch the bulletin for future Blood Pressure Screenings. We encourage everyone to participate, meet your nurses, have your blood pressure checked, and collect some healthy living tips.
